Leaving no room for mistakes or filler, Saukrates drops Amani, a four track EP of dope tracks for the streets to ingest. The EP is a double edge sword though. Each track is fused with good production and Sauks sounds comfortable as always, flowing effortlessly, but with only four cuts, fans are left wanting more. Things kick off with “Kingdom Come”. With its soulful sample it is impossible not to nod along to Bigg Soxx’s braggadocio verses.

“Amani” is a creative song with Soxx answering a few questions fans, friends and family have had over the years and “FYEO” featuring SonReal and produced by Rich Kidd is a standout cut with that chill, light-one-up type of feel to it. The final song and the most lyrical of the EP is “The Big Bang”. It is a perfect ending to the EP and reminder to fans that Saukrates’ pen game is still sharp.
