A fresh track by Mobb Deep is literally hitting the hard court.
Appropriately dubbed “Survival of the Fittest 2”, the duo has created the remix for ESPN’s “NBA Countdown” to use during the NBA Western Conference playoffs.
The track is a re-cut of the 1995 hit “Survival of the Fittest” and is eerily reminiscent of Mobb’s success in the ’90s.
Unlike other mixes and rhymes that have been re-written and pre-packaged for television, this one clearly had some serious time put into producing it.
It has the same feeling that the original song has, using a simple beat and gothic piano shuffle topped by thick, heavy-hitting words.
