Anyone rocking Zigi’s Holiday collection, which ranges from platforms, to cut out sling backs and mysterious peep toes, is sure to be a show stopper at every Christmas and New Year’s Eve party this season. In addition to its festive party shoes, the brand also has the Grizzly Bear Collection, which is catered to those cold and windy nights that are upon us this season.
With versatility being the main factor for the line, many of the high tops have the option to be worn as the classic combat boot or rolled down to the ankle for a shorter, more accessible, bootie. Adding comfort to the multi-wear boots is warm wool lining that is essential for those bitter cold days. Not only stopping at combat boots, the brand also reinvents the popular moccasin by adding a heavier, and more durable, rubber bottom sole that can also be worn during the winter months, and not limited to the fall.
Gearing up for the New Year, and the warmer weather ahead, Zigi also introduces what it has in store for the shoe maverick at heart in the spring and summer 2014 season. Bringing a vintage 1950s feel to 2014, Zigi’s two-piece flat sandal offers sophistication and a trendy laid-back style to the career woman on the move. With an almond shaped toe, and separate full heel covering, the two-piece sandal is sure to be in every woman’s shoe closet for the upcoming season. With snakeskin making a comeback into the fashion scene, Zigi incorporates the trend into its array of open toes wedges, peep toe sandals and comfortable flats.
“We try to recreate a bit of comfort and fashion,” explains Bogdan. “And to do that, it’s a mixture of trying to get the right last and be comfortable on the foot.” Comfort is definitely introduced in the brand with the use of memory foam technology for the insoles of its shoes. Adding comfort to the every day is essential to the fashion forward woman on the go.
