If Future’s “Move That Dope” featuring Pusha T and Pharrell Williams didn’t have you moving, Skratch Bastid’s mix will. The remix genius puts a twist on Future Island’s, “Seasons”, taking the airy instrumental and blending it with Future’s latest single off his debut album Honest. All verses from “Move That Dope” play in chronological order, but the DJ master adds a quirky mix to the hook. While Future raps about moving work, Samuel T. Herring, the lead singer of Future Islands sings, “’cause I’ve been waiting on you.” Samples from Salt ‘N’ Pepa’s “Push It” and Migos’ “Versace” are also featured on the track, adding wit to the lyrics. Giving a bright spin on this summer’s dope-boy anthem, Bastid’s “Seasoned Dope” combines two hits of the year on one track. Simone Lewis
