With warmer weather approaching (hopefully sooner rather than later), GUESS’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection offers an array of pastels, prints and floral patterns that stays true to the signature essence of the iconic brand. Debuting three different styles for the season, floral, moto and print, GUESS offers individual style for every woman with a variety of moto jackets, ranging in colour and texture, along with an endless array of maxi dresses.

“What I like about GUESS is for somewhat of a decent price point for the normal fashionable person, they can be able to wear a lot of the cool trends that we see in high fashion,” says Carcia Campbell, writer and stylist for her website, itsmusicfashionlife.com.

If making a statement is your mission, the line of bold prints from the new collection is for you. Two statement pieces from the print collection that are sure to have heads turning, is a black, crocheted maxi dress, with a hi-lo ruffled hem that showcases the calf down to the ankle, and a gold, black and cream, sleeveless printed blouse with a high collar mimicking a turtleneck style. Both can be coupled with a signature denim GUESS jacket and a pair of the collection’s colourful printed strappy heels to compliment the edgy, yet comfortable, work-to-play look.

Along with the printed line, the moto line also offers a variety of trendy and classic jackets that will be sure to compliment any attire of choice. From buckles on the cuff, to silver snaps on the collar, the moto line of the upcoming collection doesn’t fall short of what GUESS has been offering trendsetters for years. One eye catching moto piece, that any fashion lover would enjoy, is a classic matching moto suit with a twist. Available in both a salt and pepper black ensemble and cream colour, the matching moto jacket and mini skirt combo put a trendy twist on a timeless look by adding neon pink accents along the zippers of the jacket, and leather patch work on the shoulder, collar and sleeve. The wool-textured suit also has neon pink, black and silver threading, which complement its overall look.

And while GUESS definitely has its fair share of trendy pieces for the spring and summer, the brand doesn’t shy away from what it’s known for: denim. With ripped denim jackets, and a show stopping long sleeve denim jumpsuit, GUESS continues to reinvent its niche.

“Having nice denim under $200 is something that GUESS keeps bringing for the amount of decades that they’ve been around,” says Campbell.

Of course, who could forget the accessories? Known for its bags, wallets and jewelry, this season offers more print and colour for the upcoming season. “I like a lot of the bags and shoes with the blue floral pattern,” explains CP24 news anchor Nneka Elliott. “I have some red GUESS pumps that never ever go out of style and when you just slip them on, you feel confident, you feel powerful and comfortable. It just stands the test of time.”
