Southern California hip-hop duo Audio Push has remixed “Commas” by Future and it’s arguably catchier than the Atlanta rapper’s original chart topper.
The track has more depth than Future’s original – the effort behind the remix lyrics is unquestionable. Future’s dubbed sound and faded vocals are out. Push’s double-time rhythm and west coast flow are in.
Push’s Oktane and Price spit so fast they make it difficult to breakdown the lines before the next one pummels in.
Each line seems to stack up alongside the next and uses imagery that gets deeper as the song goes on. Focusing on topics like social media, politics and self-confidence, there are a lot of lines to latch onto that emanate long after playing the song.
Push’s Oktane and Price spit so fast they make it difficult to breakdown the lines before the next one pummels in. For good reason, the hook is buried under the song – but that doesn’t detract from the flow.
With carefully produced singles like this, it seems like anything Audio Push touches turns into audible gold.
