Burna Boy’s rise has been a long time coming, but on African Giant, over the span of 19 songs in total, the Nigerian artist, who coined the genre Afrofusion, delivers his most personal project to date. He reflects on the past, present and what could come in the future.

Artists from the U.K., Jamaica, U.S., Ghana join him on the project. Take for example “Secret” with Jeremih and Serani. Burna Boy connects three different countries on one song with each one of them bringing their own unique style to the song – and it works perfectly.

Burna Boy’s unique blend of Afrobeat, dancehall, R&B and hip-hop come into full form on African Giant after years of work. More than anything, Burna Boy lives up to the title of African Giant on his latest body of work.
