The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Consulate General in Toronto is trying to rally support in relief of the flooding that claimed the lives of nine people on mainland St. Vincent on Christmas. The heavy rain and landslides resulted in a number of houses, bridges and roads being washed away, with the overall damage estimated to be several millions of dollars. Urgent items needed include mattresses and clothing, among other simple necessities. People who are looking to donate should contact the Consulate General of St. Vincent and the Grenadines at 416-398-4277 for more information on how they can help. Cameron Da Silva
