Oakland singer Kehlani teams up with Chicago’s own Chance The Rapper for a soft, love-focused collaboration on “The Way”, off her recently released album You Should Be Here.
Speaking over a cloudy, spaced out, yet sweet, instrumental, Kehlani and Chance take time to think about the person they adore, swooning over the little things that make that “someone” more special than the rest.
The record makes for quite the mood-inducing listen with Kehlani’s vocals detailing the authenticity of love not just in the words she sings, but in the presentation of them as well.
Chance The Rapper’s cameo on the track is pretty solid, adding some energy to balance out the otherwise relaxed pace.
