Toronto rapper Dom Alli is just breaking into the Canadian hip-hop scene, but his latest collaboration is nothing short of skilled.

After releasing his first mixtape Slippin’ in January, he’s begun releasing music for his forthcoming project. His latest single “Feelin’ It” features Dom and fellow emcee DuTcH both on vocals and production.

A vibrant synth sound accents the beat, which in turn accents the verses quite nicely.

It has an upbeat groove that’s not too overbearing and a simple, shoulder-brushing flow that’s capped nicely by the hook. The soft spacing between verses allows listeners to easily keep the beat without focusing too heavily on its simplicity.

Even though there’s no moral to the story – besides the fact that Dom is “feeling it” – it’s clear this song is relying on catchiness. There’s good production value behind the project, but the easy-to-remember hook and double-time flows are what prove most memorable.

“Feelin’ It” is an excellent display of the Toronto teen’s talent on all sides of produced music. The hard work and energy behind the music is apparent even through speakers.
