The term “fun in the sun” is an understatement for what president Rachel Avery has to offer at her ultra-sexy, yet sophisticated boutique, Kalloné Intimi. The trendy shop, which caters to swimwear and lingerie, offers a vast variety of apparel for men and women to not only sport on the beach, but transition from the office to the sand.

At its kick-off event, Kalloné was crammed wall-to-wall with swimwear, garments, hosiery, and not to mention statuesque models parading in what the boutique has to offer. The downtown Toronto location is not only the everyday person’s vacation one stop shop but assists everyone in his or her intimate and nautical needs. With this summer 2014 season, the more convertible approach seemed to be a crowd pleaser from everyone in attendance.

“A lot of people are playing it up with high waisted pants and a bikini top or with a one piece that has a really fun back with jeans, and even with guys its things that you can wear to swim going into street wear after,” says Avery.

One of the more popular styles that had many heads rolling was Peixoto’s swimwear’s plunging neck and backline full body bathing suit. Offered in an array of colours such as red, black, pink, and white, this shore-stopping piece of clothing is truly one of a kind. Its front cover debut from Khloe Kardashian on the cover of the April 2014 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, paired with a white suit and short set, showcased the swimwear’s transition from ocean fun to party attire. Also taking a fashion leap from Peixoto is its popular multi-way bikini. Donned on many of the models of the evening, this versatile bikini resembles the popular multi-way dress that has caught the eye of many this spring/summer 2014.Whether you want to rock a halter top look for a day in the sand or then later wrap the fun straps around your torso for an edgy couture look paired with a short or pant for a night out, the multi-way bikini has a look best suited for you.

And the guys aren’t left out either. With cabana season in full swing it’s easy to leave work straight to pool with swim trucks from Charles Van der Pear. These ultra-chic and comfortable swim trucks mimic everyday casual shorts than can be worn on and off the clock. And with its quick dry time, leaving the water and attending any event would be a breeze when paired with the right button down and shoes.

From the concrete to water, summer 2014 has a lot to offer the beach bums in us all. Cut outs to one pieces, and cheekiness to cleavage, Kalloné has a lot to bring to the table, making style and comfort its number one priority. Who says fashion statements have to stop on the sidewalk?
