Toronto rap veteran Kardinall Offishall is emphasizing his OG status on his latest offering that will appear on the forthcoming EP Kardi Gras: Volume One. The single dropped following the madness of Caribana weekend and brings more of that Caribbean vibe and edgy hip-hop rhythm that is Kardinal’s distinct specialty.

Dancehall deejay Assassin, a.k.a Agent Sasco, spits a rattling verse and despite appearing toward the end, his feature ignites a necessary vigor to the song as it sizzles to a close. This is surely not the last you will hear of the formidable duo as Kardinall has recruited Assassin and the notable Bunji Garlin to form a pan-Caribbean super group, Suit of Black.

This will be Mr. International’s sixth album where he plans to highlight his Jamaican roots with a cache of dancehall/reggae infused tracks with the help of the two superstars, Bunji out of Trinidad and Assassin from Jamaica. These three minds at work you already know what’s to come will be some real OG artistry.
