Coupled with their new track “Special Affair” The Internet has announced a new album in the works titled Ego Death.

The project swiped some pretty awesome features including Tyler The Creator, Vic Mensa, Janelle Monáe, Kaytranada, James Fauntleroy and Steve Lacy.

Props go to Matt Martians for the smooth production. The joint paints a darker and different side of Syd, but there are no complaints here.

Propelling the silky vocals of lead singer Syd Tha Kyd, the misfits fuse bongo drums and sultry strumming into a funky baseline. The track feels like wandering into an underground soul club with a sketchy vibe – dangerous with lustful undertones.

Syd coos poetry over subtle sounds of the rainforest reciting an experience of sexual hunger driven by Patron.

The album, set to release June 30, is looking to be a revitalizing taste of parts yet to be heard from The Internet.
