The hype started last year, but teenage Canadian dancehall singer Lucas DiPasquale’s latest banger is already accruing praise beyond his previous accolades.

After spinning the YouTube view counters with his covers of Jamaican dancehall icon Popcaan, he’s attracted international attention and talent to his next project. Jamaica has welcomed the Markham, ON teenager with open arms as he’s made a household name for himself on Kingston television and performed with Popcaan at the 2014 Jamaica Dream Weekend event.

Featuring the stylings of British reggae artist Stylo G as wellas Konshens and fellow canuck Kardinal Offishall, it’s an all-star lineup that pushes Lucas further into the dancehall spotlight.

Now Lucas is back with his new single, “Do It Like”, set to be on his upcoming EP. Featuring the stylings of British reggae artist Stylo G as wellas Konshens and fellow canuck Kardinal Offishall, it’s an all-star lineup that pushes Lucas further into the dancehall spotlight.

Each singer doesn’t overstep their presence on the track, which works wonderfully because the lyrics are simple, yet solid enough to carry the flow. That leaves room for Lucas to hold his own amongst the other talent with his harmonious voice.

This collaboration not only proves that the Lucas is on the verge of super stardom,  but it also shows that Lucas DiPasquale can step up to the plate with major leaguers and hit home runs.
