After appearing on the highly anticipated season finale of Fox’s “Empire,” Charles Hamilton officially released the first song on his up-coming album. The Harlem native, who took some time off from making music to deal with personal issues, stated that he will be coming out with a new album sometime soon. Hamilton’s new song features the talented British and Roc Nation signee Rita Ora, who appeared on “Empire” along with Hamilton. The new single brings back a not-so-old sound of rap and R&B combination that has been missing in today’s music scene. Hamilton delivers his feelings in a composed, cool, form that is easy to follow while Rita Ora compliments the song with a beautiful sounding voice without taking over the entire song but leaving you with a catchy chorus. With the exposure from “Empire” and a great first single in “NY Raining,” Charles Hamilton is taking a step in the right direction for his return to the spotlight.
