Off of his self-produced project Devontée by Devontée, 22-year-old Toronto rapper/producer/engineer gives a glimpse into his life with the visuals for new single”01/15″. Devontée is a young man with a lot of drive and determination. There’s evidence of this as he states: “But it seems like this life likes to pay me in lessons / and I graduated school already, but I’m still out here being tested.”

The video and song fit well together as Devontée narrates some of his trials and what motivates him, while scenes of him rhyming in his room, heading to the corner store with his friends, talking with the store owner and playing basketball at the Eastview Community Center in Toronto display intricate details about his character. “01/15” is a song about determination, friends and family, and the repeating of “enjoy your life,” at the end of it, while Devontée and his friends laugh, is a perfect close to a solid video.
