On May 26, a NYC Block Party will be held to celebrate the official unveiling of “Miles Davis Way” street. The day marks the birthday of Miles Davis, a key cultural visionary, who has become synonymous with New York City.

Mayor Bloomberg signed the bill to rename West 77th Street between Riverside Drive and West End Ave as “Miles Davis Way” to recognize the legendary trumpeter.

To add to the block party, Rock Paper Photo will release an exclusive line of artwork featuring rare and iconic limited-edition photographs; paintings and drawings by the artist as well as graphic designs inspired by the imagery and typography of classic Miles Davis album art.
