Cassie Ventura is back after a two-year hiatus from the music with new singles, a baby on way and what seems to be a new lease on life. The “Me & U” singer’s career started on Bad Boy Records in 2006. After a debut album, mixtape and decade-long relationship with Diddy she’s finally handling things on her own terms. Through Instagram and Soundcloud, she’s gained some attention from fans again by starting “Free Friday’s” where she releases a new song every Friday under her own Ventura Music.

With several songs out already, including “Excuses” and “Rollercoaster” featuring Ro James, her vibe remains true to who we know the “Don’t Play It Safe” singer to be. After recently announcing that she’s working with a new team, the 32-year-old songstress is mixing different styles and sounds allowing fans to not only pay more attention to her lyrics but ultimately hear her and understand her voice.

Through these songs it seems like Cassie is sure of herself.

Through these songs it seems like Cassie is sure of herself, forgetting the past and focused on her new journey of motherhood and building a legacy that she’ll be proud of.

Free Friday’s is available on most streaming services including both Spotify and Apple Music.
