Watch Dogs

Protagonist Aiden Pierce will finally be taking his role as a masked vigilante to the public sphere in Watch Dogs, a title produced by the same creative company behind the ever popular Assassin’s Creed series, Ubisoft Montreal.

Set in a future-vision of Chicago where every-day infrastructures are run by a central operating system (CtOS), players will be put into the shoes of modern day hacker Pierce, whose ability to collect information from the city’s technical vulnerabilities allows gamers to stop future crimes or commit them.

Watch Dogs is set to release on May 27, 2014 for the Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and the PC.

Mario Kart 8

It’s a race that’s been going steady for over 20 years and there doesn’t seem to be any sign of it slowing with Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U. For those familiar with the series regular trappings, players will be re-introduced to the common assortment of new circuits, characters and karts. Several features that made the series what it is today will also be returning including underwater racing, hang-gliders, and motorbikes along with a much welcomed 12 player online mode.

From the common blockbuster and indie scare all the way to a revisited classic, here is a full list of games hitting the retail scene this week:
