Monogrammed water on a silver platter served by statuesque men, and the heavy beats of Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” being remixed into Kanye West’s “Black Skinhead” is only part of what had guests amped at the viewing of GUESS’ new Spring/Summer 2014 Collection inside Toronto’s Yorkdale Mall.

With mini beauty stations set up around the double entrance store, attendees had the choice of getting their lips done by L’Oreal makeup artists or their hair curled with professional curling wands. And having beauty stations wasn’t the only thing that had guests buzzing; featured GUESS campaign model Danielle Knudson made an appearance to share her love for the brand and greet fans.

“My favourite piece from this collection was something I actually got to wear in the campaign; there’s a pair of these black leather overalls that are so sick and I can’t wait to rock them this year.” – Danielle Knudson

“My favourite piece from this collection was something I actually got to wear in the campaign; there’s a pair of these black leather overalls that are so sick and I can’t wait to rock them this year,” explains the Canadian born model. Without a doubt, the revamp of the traditional denim overalls was what seemed to be the highlight item of the night.

Staying true to the essence of GUESS, the new collection offers an array of different washes of denim ranging from dark to light with a rugged, ripped seam approach. Not stopping at only denim, the brand brings a vintage appeal to this collection with the use of polka dots, incorporated in the use of bustier tops and form fitting dresses.

This Spring/Summer 2014 from GUESS sets out to bring a variety of styles, not only denim, to the forefront, adding a modern twist on vintage styles.
